HalTypical Day in Role:
• The Business Analyst will be responsible for working with multiple stakeholders across multiple groups (including Operations, Finance, etc.) to gather and write requirements using their Business Requirement Document (BRD) to clearly outline current state and ideal future state.
• After 3 months, they’re hoping the Business Analyst can clearly lay out the change required for a Developer to come in and enhance their calculations for how these commissions are paid out to Advisors, but ideally this Business Analyst will be able to uncover other potential obstacles or changes that could benefit the client.
• The Business Analyst will be expected to understand the process, create documentation, and confirm requirements in preparation for a Developer to support a with the buildout of a new MS Access Database.
• Utilize experience in Excel and MS Access to understand data, where it comes from, and how to reconcile from one file to another.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• 5+ years as a Business Analyst (ability to gather and write a Business Requirement Document)
• Strong recent project experience working with data in MS Excel and MS Access (database)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills is critical to this role
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Knowledge in Wealth Management (knowledge of GIC products)
• Knowledge in finance or reconciliation is an asset.
• Prior Wealth Management experience
• Experience working with AS400 (Wealth system)
