Typical Day in Role:
• Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader client relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Leads the research and development of engaging content and commentaries around financial and advice-themed concepts
• Acts as the content expert for SGAM and broader teams on topics of financial planning, literacy, and practice management in support of customer-focused campaigns and other initiatives.
• Responsible for working together with internal stakeholders to translate industry trends into timely content that can be leveraged across SGAM and amplified through social media.
• Manages and provide insights to vendors/external resources in the development of content, ensuring all approvals are obtained by stakeholders and compliance of content use.
• Works closely with strategic industry partners to manage content syndication program
• Actively finds opportunities to leverage and amplify communications across brands and the bank.
• Provides direction and guidance throughout the development of marketing campaigns and national initiatives.

• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• 8+ years of financial communications experience with a demonstrated portfolio of work in the financial services industry
• Demonstrated knowledge of marketing strategy, planning and communications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Experience in a similar role within the financial sector, preferably with an investment firm
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills is a must
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Completion of financial industry courses an asset (e.g., Canadian Securities Course, CFP, CFA)
Education:
Post-secondary degree or diploma and demonstrated experience preferably with specialization in Marketing, Business or Communications
