Project: Support multiple projects for SEO at the bank. Please refer to the Typical day in role about what the person will be doing for all the projects. The purpose is to increase the organic acquisition of our website.
Typical Day in Role
• Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Be accountable for supporting the implementation and optimization of Scotiabank’s SEO strategy in Canada
• Regularly perform detailed keyword research, analyze search trends and provide insights and opportunities for Scotiabank that will deliver the SEO commercial and strategic goals.
• Review technical SEO issues, such as including site architecture, URL structures, and recommend fixes
• Collaborate across various teams to ensure new pages and projects are optimized for search from the moment of launch.
• Support our content team for content ideation, development, design and delivery. Advise on best practices needed for technical implementation of new content through detailed content briefs
• Develop appropriate metrics for SEO related projects, measure against goals and build the necessary reports to communicate performance
• Help design SEO experiments, test tactics for additional opportunities for organic growth
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas by Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations concerning operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with demonstrated expertise in SEO and digital content strategies and execution.
• Hands-on experience Technical experience and knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• 5+ Experience with SEO Tools including Ahrefs, Clearscope, OnCrawl, Screaming Frog or similar industry tools
• Solid understanding of Google Search Console in order to inform and make data-driven decisions

Degrees or certifications:
– BA in (Marketing, business or related areas) or years of experience in the field
