Java Developer – API
Typical Day in Role:
The incumbent will be responsible for development stream features within the Credit360 team and will maintain, support, and enhance the application according to user specifications with a high degree of accuracy and functionality and meet the requirements of our banking and credit officers.
• Help design new features and build out our necessary APIs
• Work closely with the Senior Development Manager, providing team and project status updates, escalating issues as needed (e.g. resourcing, training, etc.)
• Maintain and support production support for existing application.
• Unit Testing, coding, debugging, automating manual activities, scripting and implementing code will be performed on a month-to-month basis.
• Understanding business systems and the credit adjudication business flow.
Must Have Skills:
• 10+ years’ experience as a developer, with strong experience with API development
• 5+ years of experience with Java coding
• 5+ years’ (or 3 Recent hands-on projects) working experience (back end) with SOAP and RESTful Web Services and Unit Testing (Junit)
• 3+ years’ experience with microservices using Springboot
• Experience using Sybase/Oracle Database OR any relational database (i.e. SQL, PL/SQL)
• Progressive technical working experience in application programming, system analysis, design, unit testing and debugging
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Proficiency with web technologies (i.e. XSLT, XML, XSD, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, JSON, CSS, SSL, SOAP and REST services) XML, SOAP OR/& REST services preferred
• Recent working experience using the following: Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, BitBucket, SonarQube, GIT
