Typical Day in Role:
• Work under the guidance of senior architects in assembling an Enterprise Reference Architecture
• Participate in information gathering sessions and consolidate and format gathered and collating data into a presentable and digestible format (PPT, PowerBI, SharePoint) for senior leadership at SVP level
• Distilling and packaging large amounts of information to digestible bits
• Executing tasks provided by the senior architects – a lot of hands-on/desk-work type of responsibilities
• Will be working on cloud infrastructure, on-prem environments
• Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies
• Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers
• Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities Supports one or more highly complex business processes
• Works on multiple projects as a project team member
• Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 3-8 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst
2) 3+ years’ experience with PPT, SharePoint
3) 1+ year experience with PowerBI (intermediate level of expertise)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Experience working in FI/Banking domains
2) Experience working on audit projects
3) Experience working on large architecture projects
Soft Skills Required:
• Excellent communication skills (for senior stakeholder communications, taking surveys, clarifying answers)
• Quick learner
• Strong attention to details (as is an audit project)
• Organizational skills
• Able to hit the ground running
Education:
No specific educational requirement – experience is the focus
TOGAF certification nice to have
Best VS. Average Candidate:
Strong junior/mid-level BSA in infrastructure space; needs to be independent, requiring minimal hand holding as they will be running with how to best analyse and package the data for stakeholders, strong experience with similar project environments, they should be OK to do day to day BSA tasks but also still have autonomy, so not too senior but not too green either; would value experience specifically in cloud infrastructure/on-prem over retail banking experience
