Must haves:
- 10+ years of project management on enterprise projects including managing scope, risk, resources, schedules, and costs
- Oracle Database, Unix (Solaris, AIX, Linux), and Windows (Server) Operating Platforms,
- WebLogic and Microsoft IIS Web/Application Servers and Mainframe applications
Project Management and technical documentation – 45%
- 10+ years of project management on enterprise projects including managing scope, risk, resources, schedules, and costs
- 10+ years of experience in the creation of project documentation
- Experience with recommending revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction for published material, existing guides, documentation, and framework
Technical Knowledge – 25%
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with I&IT Project management frameworks
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the following computing environments:
- Oracle Database, Unix (Solaris, AIX, Linux), and Windows (Server) Operating Platforms,
- WebLogic and Microsoft IIS Web/Application Servers and Mainframe applications
Tools and process – 25%
- Experience with the use of tools for the creation, distribution, and maintenance of project documentation
- Experience with completing a cost-benefit analysis
Public Sector Experience – 5%
- Experience in working in accordance with policies and procedures of Ontario Public Service would be an asset
The Project Manager/Leader will be responsible for the following activities and deliverables:
Assisting project manager(s) with project statements, resource planning, status reporting,
and monitoring status of deliverables.
- Assisting project manager(s) in the identification, preparation and tracking of project change requests, reviewing the requests to ensure all impacts are identified and estimates are reasonable
- Assist project manager in Stakeholder management, gathering & documenting requirements, documenting the project plan, strategy and implementation plan as per the Ministry standards
- Creating and maintaining project schedules (Work Breakdown Structures) using Planview
- Coordinating project meetings (e.g. steering committee, team meetings), including issuing of agendas, scribing minutes and following up on action items with the project team
- Generating and publishing project reporting (status reports with schedule information, milestones, dependencies, issues, risks, change requests, financials, metrics, etc)
- Preparing project presentations and communications, at the direction of the project manager(s)
- Ability to document compliance report
- Managing overall program/projects budget and expenditures
- Supporting program/projects orientation for new staff and consultants assigned to the project
- Transferring knowledge to designated TSSDB staff
- Regular review of all actual expenses to budgets, which includes tracking and monitoring of monthly expense accruals, and perform reconciliation of expenditures against budget.
- Create and maintain a summary report of expenditures for Sr. PM.
- Assist in the development of Quality Management, Change Management, Issues & Risk Management plans, Communication plan and Project Charters
- Monitor project deliverables and documentation for quality and ensure standards are followed
- Review of current computing and network environments
- Ensure timely communication with various internal and external stakeholders All PM Services
- Agile and waterfall methodologies
- Co-ordinate with ITS Project Managers as required
- Release Management tasks related to the maintenance deliverables
Skill Set Requirements
- Experience in Program and Project Management
- Managing multiple concurrent tasks in a multi-tiered application development environment with proven record for meeting strict deadlines by coordinating development/testing, UAT and Production environments
- Selecting and establishing project management methodologies
- Knowledge of PCI (Payment Card Industry) Data Security Standards (DSS) compliance Requirements v3.2.1
- Ideally, shall have experience working on PCI Compliance projects with first-hand knowledge
- Shall have at minimum five years of experience in conducting pre-site PCI Compliance audits within the Ontario Government
- Demonstrated ability to develop successful relationships with high level stakeholders including executives and managing 3rd party vendors
- Establishment and/or management of information resource management functions in large or medium sized organizations
- Managing the governance, change management and implementation activities associated with large IT projects
- Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of support services
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; oral and written communication skills; inter-personal and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of and experience with tools and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling IT projects schedules, plans and costs
- Demonstrated experience identifying issues/risks and providing the proper mitigation Strategies
- Knowledge of and experience with monitoring and reporting on project progress and delivery using, Planview, Share-Point and Visual Process are optional assets
- Knowledge of and experience with maintaining a central repository of project schedules, plans, reporting and deliverables
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Ability to produce a variety of business documents (in MS Office) that demonstrate command of language, clarity of thought and orderliness of presentation (including MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio)
- Demonstrated experience with MS project
