Business Analyst
Typical Day in Role:
1. Documentation
– Create, update, and maintain business requirement document of different products for liquidity risk cashflow engine to generate cashflows used in LST reporting
– Update and maintain product mapping table from liquidity risk data feeds to cashflow generation module.
– Create, update, and maintain product mapping logic from source system to liquidity risk data provisioning and enrichment layer
2. Data Analysis and Testing
– Review various data mappings along the liquidity risk data flow and understand the data structures along with the mappings.
– Write SQL queries for data mining.
– Write UAT test cases.
– Conduct UAT of data provisioned to support automation of LST modules, with a focus on Wholesale Funding and Securities financing transactions (SFTs).
– Conduct UAT of LST contractual cashflows generated from liquidity risk cashflow engine.
– Conduct UAT of LST report generated from reporting layer.
3. Relationship Management
– Collaborate and build rapport with Project Manager, other Business Analysts, reporting analysts and IT partners.
– Work with IT partners to help translate users’ requests into technical specifications, when necessary
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 8+ years of Business Analyst experience
2) 3+ years of BA experience in the Liquidity Risk domain
3) 3+ years’ experience with conducting UAT on data intensive reporting implementations involving technology changes
4) 5+ years’ combined experience with VBA, SQL and Microsoft advanced functions
5) 3+ years of experience working with banking products (e.g. loans, deposits, derivatives, commitments, wholesale funding, secured funding transactions)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Exposure to liquidity cashflow generator would be an asset
2) Experience with large data programing preferred
3) MBA, CFA or accounting designation is an asset.

Education:
– Undergraduate degree in business, mathematical finance, statistics, mathematics or computer science is required
Best VS. Average Candidate:
Ideal candidate can work independently, can figure out solutions with minimal hand holding; strong recent liquidity risk reporting experience in FI, strong data management experience, strong communication skills (written and oral)
