Typical Day in Role:
An Identity and Access Management (IAM) Data Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of an organization’s data by managing user identities and access controls. This position reporting to the Senior Manager, IAM Engineering will review current data flow and assess gaps with a view to recommending and implementing changes to meet business requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
– Participate in data analytics / gap analysis to identify gaps in current data flow between IAM systems including but not limited to AD, Entra, LDAP, Sailpoint IIQ, Database, etc.
– Participate in preparation of reports on findings and present recommendations
– Work with Engineering team to prepare implementation strategy
– Work with Engineering team to implement recommendations
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 7+ years of relevant experience.
2) Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of identity and access management principles, knowledge of IAM tools and platforms such as Sailpoint IdentityIQ, Entra, Active Directory, LDAP, SDLC, STLC.
3) Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming like Python/ Java and Scripting in PowerShell
4) Security Knowledge: Understanding of access control models, authentication methods, and security protocols
5) Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data using tools such as advanced excel (vlookup, pivot, vba scripting) and DB SQL queries
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Development skills in Sailpoint IdentityIQ would be considered an asset
Soft Skills Required:
Communication: Strong skills in documenting and communicating/presentation to stakeholders.
Education & Certificates:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
