IT Security Analyst

Candidate Value Proposition:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop new metrics (maybe metrics they have not created before) bringing skills and driving change at the Bank on a high visibility project for a top 5 Canadian Bank

Typical Day in Role:
– Investigation and design of IT Risk solutions (process/metrics/documentation) of key regulatory findings
– Leading teams through methodology and data analysis around new KRIs
– Documentation and defense of new metrics/KRIs, including 2nd line challenges
– Contributing to the good governance of existing metrics through participation in review, challenge and change cycles
– Gathering metrics and presenting them in decks to senior leaders up to SVP level
– Performing calculations and analyzing data excel
– Develop and interpret security policies and procedures
– Participate in security compliance efforts
– Develop and deliver training materials to key risk indicators and metrics

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 8+ years of experience as an IT Security Analyst
2) 2+ years’ experience with technology and/or cybersecurity risk management
3) 2+ years’ experience working with a variety of modern risk mitigation related technologies including: cloud, DBR, backups
4) 2+ years’ experience with data analytics (scripting knowledge, database knowledge e.g. SQL)
5) Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (PPT, Excel, Word)

Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Experience working with regulators (OSFI, Fed)
2) Experience from in FIs

Education:
Bachelors in technical field preferred
Security certifications e.g. CISSP an asset
